Sidehouse Was Recognized for Developing the First Real Estate Marketplace in Mexico

As part of the awarding of “The 100 Best CIOs of Mexico” prizes, better known as “The CIO100”; Mateo Turanzas, Director of Technology and Innovation at Sidehouse, was recognized as a leader in the category IT Creativity, for developing the first real estate Marketplace in Mexico.

The awards are given each year by the magazine CIO México to recognize a select group of one hundred organizations in our country that use IT in an innovative way to add value to the business, whether as a competitive advantage, by optimizing their processes, stimulating their growth, or to improve relationships with their clients.

Mateo Turanzas was named a leader in the category “IT Creativity” thanks to the project Evolución Digital 360° for Inmobiliaria Quiero Casa, in which the first virtual apartment in Mexico was developed, and for which he had to do a migration to 100% digital processes, allowing for seeing the buildings offered by the real estate firm on mobile devices through virtual tours and 3-D models. Part of its implementation is also based on the incorporation of Data Story-Telling, which consists of the client knowing the entire process of creating their house. Additionally, it offers the possibility of making purchase-sale transactions of apartments through a digital signature and registration of 17 variables of security, positioning it as the best real estate Marketplace in Mexico.

“I am very excited and thankful for receiving this award, I know that what we are doing is placing us as a point of reference for other companies of the same sector to join in the digital transformation; this type of award is an incentive to keep making the client’s experience always something beyond what is expected in the purchase process for their house,” stated Mateo Turanzas when being awarded. “Thanks first off to Quiero Casa for trusting this great project, of course to my work team and partners that made this transformation possible,” he concluded.

This recognition was granted for the 13th consecutive year to recognize those companies that created a strategic impact and a competitive advantage through innovative projects that seek to stimulate growth. For this selection, more than 200 candidates were received, of which to only the most 100 noteworthy were selected

“As CIOs we need to be warm and close to the daily needs and aspirations of the users, but we also must be cold in order to imagine the future, taking advantage of the most efficient technological resources and conserving serenity to ensure the change of mentality of different areas that accompany the daily endeavor of our organizations,” declared José Luis Becerra, Editor of CIO/Infoworld México.

The award dinner was carried out at Restaurante El Lago, located in the Segunda sección de Chapultepec, in which eight categories were awarded: Alignment by the business, Government, Innovation, Mobility, Big Data, Analytics, and Business Intelligence, Business Continuity and Security, IT Creativity, and, for the first time, Digital Transformation.
